Ovidia was appointed as the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) first Chief Alumni Officer on 1 July 2023. She is also the University’s first female alumni leader.

In her role as head of alumni, Ovidia oversees alumni strategy and engagement, as well as the management of the Shaw Foundation Alumni House, the University’s dedicated alumni complex located on Kent Ridge Campus.

Ovidia was Chief Communications Officer of NUS from 2016 to 2023, leading university communications from 2008 to 2023. During her tenure, Ovidia helped raised the reputation of NUS by building key publicity platforms, driving digital content creation and transforming the NUS Open House experience.

She was previously a polytechnic lecturer, a current affairs TV producer, an award-winning reporter and an assistant buyer for a US luxury duty-free group.

She graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in political science and history, and holds a Master of International Communication from Macquarie University, Australia.
